Hugh DeLong's Hymns 4 Worship Page

At present, Watchman Magazine does not accept paid advertisements. It is not that the editors consider such unethical, or even distasteful, it is simply the present policy. Because of this, we have never included material or programs which would have to be purchased by our readers.

This month however, we make an exception. This is not a paid advertisement, it is simply public recognition of a program which could be of great benefit to song leaders. Having recently seen the program demonstrated, this editor can without reservation suggest that you would be well served to purchase brother DeLong's Hymns 4 Worship Computer Program. The program contains all but approximately 170 of the songs found in brother R.J. Stevens Hymnal. Plans are to include as many of the remaining copywrited songs as possible in future free upgrades. Notice the following features, as stated on brother DeLong's Hymns 4 Worship Home Page:

The program is designed to allow songleaders to learn new songs.

The program also allows for full text searches - you can find

You not only can search according to 'subjects' that are included (just like in the back of the hymnal) - but you can now make your own lists. You can add your own notes to the songs - date used or whatever.

Free Demo Program

The demo file includes all the titles, authors, scriptures, key and timing notes - but only the actual text and music to about 20 of the songs. This will let you see how the sound functions work and how you can do searches. The file can be downloaded in a self-expanding .exe file. Give it a try!
